- Multiple web production of feature rich personalized mail.
RMS employs Multiprinter and Collator technology to create multiple component mailings which are integrated with data driven personalization and versioning that make each piece unique in its communication values.
The Multiprinter uses flexographic plates for printing which are excellent for solids and spot colors, and both toner and inkjet to efficiently deliver full page imaging as well as multiple line imaging. Each system has variable cylinder and cut-off capability in standard direct mail forms lengths, with up to 3 cut-offs per system. Printing, imaging and finishing are accomplished
inline. The Collator converts pre-printed litho rolls and uses full-page toner imaging for personalization.
The Multiprinter and Collator product lines comprise closed face envelope kits of all sizes through the range of the smallest letter to the largest flat sized package. These kits can employ up to 10 different webs with varying features, including colors, thickness, finish and weight. Paper stocks tend towards uncoated and matte stocks for imaging compatibility. The kits are enhanced with die-cutting, multi-web duplex imaging, glues, varnishes and label applications to add variety and visual texture to the final packages. Economical quantities begin at 300,000 finished pieces for the Multiprinter and 150,000 for the Collator.
Wisconsin facilities have a total of 13 Multiprinters, representing capacity for over 1 billion pieces of mail annually. Clinton IL plant operates 16 collators and 17 direct mail forms presses for an annual capacity of over 750 million pieces.
- Single and Dual Web Commercial Production of high quality mail.
Full and half-web litho presses produce up to 12-color webs in 17 ¾" and 22 ¾" repeats which are finished directly on plowfold lines. The plowfold lines can slit one and two webs 26 ½" to 51" wide into multiple ribbons, employ up to four folds, die-cutting, cold and hot melt glues, mid-stream cut-offs, and up to 16, 4 ¼" heads of Scitex imaging. Enhanced features include coated stocks, UV varnish, UV top-coating, scratch-off, encapsulation, onsertion of magnets, magnetic coat, and CD placement.
The plowfold production line is ideally suited for high quality personalized self mailers, booklets and closed face envelope kits ranging in lengths of 5" - 11". The kits consist of sealed, multiple, matched components in one and two cut-offs with sophisticated assembly for pop-ups, duplex colored imaging, and tip-ons. Economical quantities start at 100,000 for half web and 250,000 for full web products.
Production is centered in Seymour, IN, with half-web also available in Wisconsin. Total capacity is over 1 billion pieces annually.
- Single Web Direct Mail Forms Printing, Inline and Conventional Assembly.
Full-web business forms presses produce up to 12-color rolls in standard repeats of 17, 21, 22, and 28 inches which are converted inline on plowfold lines, or using conventional direct mail assembly lines. The plowfold lines incorporate Scitex imaging, slit 28" - 33" webs into multiple ribbons, use up to 4 folds, kiss-cutting, die-cutting, perfs, hot melt and cold glues, UV top coating and tip-on. The products consist of self mailers, booklets, and closed face envelope kits, in common letter, and flat-sized dimensions. Economical quantities start at 100,000 pieces. Annual capacity 750 million pieces.
The conventional assembly lines use OCE' full page toner imaging, both simplex and duplex, and incorporate burst trim fold lines and six-station inserters to finish letter-sized conventional envelope packages. Rolls can be imaged roll-to roll, or roll-to-sheet. Economical quantities begin at 25,000.

- Web-Based solutions for Direct Mail on Demand.
RMS hosts numerous client funded, private label websites where dealers and franchisees can select, upload mailing lists and order mailing programs. These mailings are executed using short run commercial print and assembly, or fully variable digital print packages. Web-to-One is a successful offering that gives our corporate clients the security of knowing how their dealers, agents and franchisees are communicating with the end customer, as well as the ability to preserve corporate communication standards.
Web-to-One incorporates website management and design, print order coordination, billing and accounting and mailing list management. It is located in Grand Island, NY.
